Not a lot to ask?

Older people across the country told Care & Repair England their homes are very important for their health and wellbeing.

A decent, safe, secure home became even more critical during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Care & Repair England called for ACTION NOW to tackle housing disrepair including:

  • Initiatives to repair and improve current homes which are in poor condition and putting occupants' health at risk
  • Increased, local, practical support for disadvantaged, older home owners who need help to repair and maintain their homes
  • Boost help with home adaptations to enable more people to age safely and well at home
  • Include action to make patients' current homes safe and healthy a priority for NHS & Social Care Integration and Prevention planning.
